The Pleasure of Chess by Assiac

The Pleasures of Chess is, unsurprisingly, not an instructive book, but one depicting the beauty of our game, mainly through the demonstration of very nice games, studies, or curiosities off of the board. A fresh and original work, and it is a shame that there aren’t more of its kind! Anybody who knows how the chess pieces move can derive great enjoyment from this book.

The pages of the book have become yellowed by age and the book shows some wear and light soiling to the cover, but otherwise it is in very good condition. Knowledge of descriptive notation is required.
