The Battle of Chess Ideas by Anthony Saidy

The Battle of Chess Ideas is a fascinating and difficult to find book that has become something of a classic. The basic idea of the book is to study and understand different styles in chess by devoting time to the games of different players, e.g. Botvinnik’s scientific approach, or Larsen’s romantic vision. A very instructive book that will definitely prove useful for any chess player in the USCF rating range of 1700-2300, or even higher. Note, however, that a knowledge of descriptive notation is required.

The spine shows slight wear, but even so the book is in perfectly readable condition. Mylar dustcover included. Hardback.
