Mastering The Endgame Volume 1, by Mikhail Shereshevsky and LM Slutsky

Another out of print and hard-to-find gem, Mastering The Endgame Volume 1 attempts to help the reader master the endgame in an unusual way: it discusses the transition from opening to endgame and categorizes chapters by opening (e.g. Sicilian, Ruy Lopez). Sorting even further by sub-categories of openings, e.g. Sicilian Dragon or Najdorf, helps readers to increase their knowledge of all different types of endgame positions. Players in a USCF rating range of anywhere from ambitious 1600 to 2200+ can get a lot out of this book, with careful study.

The book is in close to new condition and is unmarked throughout. Knowledge of Algebraic notation required.
