The Art of the Middle Game, by Paul Keres and Alexander Kotov

The Art of the Middle Game is a classic. At the time very few books had taken a deeper look into the intricate and difficult topic that is the middle game, and so the authors, both very strong players in their own right, decided to change that. The book at hand aims to educate the reader on how to play the middle game well, by analyzing instructive games that illustrate many traits of this part of the game – e.g. planning in the middle game, how to defend difficult positions, etc. Perfect for players in the USCF rating range of 1500-2000 who are struggling in this phase of the game.

The book is fairly old and the pages show some yellowing, but it’s still tightly bund and in very good condition overall. Knowledge of descriptive notation required.
